The vigil will begin with a prolife mass at Sacred Heart Church celebrated by Fr. Alex followed by coffee and muffins. Then some of our members walk peacefully on Hospital Drive carrying signs to bring awareness to the public. Some members on occassion have the opportunity to offer help and peaceful dialogue to people with questions, but most of our time should be spent in silent prayer and peaceful witness. People who share our Goals and Beliefs are welcome to join Peterborough ProLife.

Speaker Event & Annual General Meeting with Light Lunch
Join us Saturday, April 20th 2024 at 11am at St. Peter in Chain’s Knights of Columbus Hall (411 Reid St. Peterborough). Jack Fonseca from Campaign Life Coalition will be speaking on the current state of the political arena, where Canada is headed and CLC’s strategy/vision for electing pro-life Candidates. Following the talk we will have our annual general meeting where we’ll discuss PPLA’s current undertakings and have nominations for executive positions on our board.
March for Life
May 9, 2024 Parliament Hill Ottawa
Call Elizabeth at 705 292-7056 to book a seat on the coach bus leaving Peterborough on Thursday May 9, 2024. Round trip tickets cost $35/adult, $50/family and $10/student.
We had a great time at the March for Life 2023 with a full bus load. This year, the event starts with a pro-life mass at St. Peter’s Cathedral in Peterborough at 7:30am. After we catch the bus to Ottawa at 8:15am outside the church. When we arrive at Parliament Hill there will be a peaceful protest with thousands of pro-lifers, speaches from pro-life MPs and other prominent prolifers, a march through downtown Ottawa, silent no more speakers, and then we will stop for dinner on route home. We will arrive back at St. Peter’s Cathedral at about 9pm the same day. If you can’t attend, please consider sponsoring a student for 2024.
Life Chain 2024
LIFE CHAIN 2024 will be held on Sunday, October 6, 2024 from 2-3 pm. Please park and pick up your sign at Sacred Heart Church (208 Romaine St. in the basement below the church.) For those who are able we will be walking with our signs to Lansdowne St.
Following the peaceful demonstration there will be prayers around the new pro-life monument followed by adoration for life in Sacred Heart Church until 4pm. LIFE CHAIN invites the churches in each city and town to stand on a deisgnated local sidewalk and pray while holding a pro-life sign message. LIFE CHAIN is a time to witness to the sanctity of life from conception to natural death.
